NEW YORK POST "Three Luchese crime-family associates infiltrated the city Department of Buildings, climbing to mid-level inspection jobs and pocketing tens of thousands of dollars a pop in bribes -- even as they continued their underworld trade in guns, drugs and and prostitutes."
****the mafia is nothing compared to the thugs who run the new york city department of buildings and the city's housing preservation and development department. they are without a doubt the two most corrupt departments in the city. if you have a problem, just bribe one of their inspectors.
none of this comes as a surprise to the two commissioners, rafael e. cestero of hpd and robert d. limandri of buildings who are ultimate thugs who are cheating the city by letting this illegal activity go on.
they were both appointed by mayor michael bloomberg who just stole a third term from the city. he knows cestero and limandri head corrupt departments, yet he leaves them in office.
new yorkers only hope is preet bharara, who was the chief counsel to senator charles e. schumer. he is now the united states attorney for the southern district of new york. hopefully he will look into hpd and buildings and even the mayor. the problem with preet is that he comes to the federal level law enforcement world from the office of a corrupt senator.
